Monday: core training

On Monday evening we work on our core (upper legs, butt and torso). Three types of exercises are used for this. Various exercises will be used to train the abdominal and back muscles. This creates greater stability in your torso, which you need on the ice. In addition, attention will be paid to the strength in the leg muscles. Various exercises are also used for this. Finally, there will be ‘skating in shoes’. We hone the movement with various skating-specific exercises in the summer, so that you have time to pay attention to other things in the winter! The training is accessible to all levels.

Tuesday: Speedskating

There is speedskating on Tuesday evenings. During inline skating training, attention is paid to balance and coordination and of course you can enjoy skating to improve your fitness. Assignments are given that are typical for a skater, but also assignments that are typical for a speed skating instructor. If you would like to join us for speedskating, please contact the board! Then they make sure there is someone to cycle with together to training with. It is possible to borrow inline skates and/or protective equipment. Wearing a helmet and wrist guards is mandatory during training. The training is accessible to all levels. In bad weather the training will not take place; This will be indicated well before the training via the whatsapp groups.

Wednesday: cycling

On Wednesday evening the legs are kicked round and round. During the cycling training we work on fitness and a bit of strength training. Various training methods will be used for this and of course the Nijmegen area will be used.
Many training sessions are on fixed laps or we cycle in groups so that cyclists of all levels can participate. Wearing a helmet is mandatory during training. Also consider lights, a spare tire, a bottle of water and possibly something to eat.
