Lacustris has the following committees:
Webcie
The website committee (webcie) started the challenge of building a new website in 2020. After years of dreaming, the time has finally come: the new website is here! Furthermore, it is a friendly committee that meets every now and then to keep the website up to date.
Activities committee
The activities committee, or AC, organizes almost all non-skating related activities. Activities where fun and the student character of the association are the main focus. Drinks, parties, cake baking competitions and a lot more. It is of course a lot of fun together at the ice rink, but it is also important to get to know each other outside of it. This committee takes care of that!

In collaboration with our friends from IJzersterk, we organize a cycling weekend in the Belgian Ardennes every year during Ascension Day. This committee is busy arranging everything from January to April! The committee also organizes other cycling activities.
Oriëntation committee
The orientation committee, also known as intro committee, ensures that Lacustris is present at the RU and HAN intro. They are present at the introduction market, the sports days and are present at city day.
Clothing committee
The clothing committee helps the PR commissioner in ordering the clothing. Fittings are organised, calculations are made of how much discount can be given and designs are made. The clothing committee also ensures that a nice spot on the clothing is reserved for clothing sponsors.

Marathon committee
The marathon committee was founded in 2014 to get marathon skating in Nijmegen more in the picture. During the season, the members of the committee promote participation in accessible competitions, such as the BGP marathons at the Triavium and the NSK marathon. They also try to involve the members in the competitions that are held (by Lacustrians) at regional and national level. The committee wants to show that marathon skating is more than just doing many laps; there are also tactics involved. Apart from the weekly marathon training for the more experienced riders, the committee also provides marathon-specific training for the lower level groups in the run-up to planned competitions.

Media committee
The media committee has the responsibility to publish Luuster’s. De Luuster’s is the association magazine of Lacustris and the name is a mash-up of Listen (in Dutch: “Luister eens”). The media committee always has its ears open, so pay attention to what you say. The most famous section in the Luuster’s is surely the Fluuster’s where all the spicy comments are posted. De Luuster’s is released once every four months. Would you like to write a piece for the Luuster’s? For example about an activity, please pass it on to the committee!

Natural ice committee
In the winter, the Natural Ice Committee monitors where skating can take place on natural ice and ensures that Lacustrians can go skating in groups anywhere in the country and participate in competitions organized on natural ice throughout the country. Giet it oan?
PR committee
The PR committee supports the PR commissioner. This committee is concerned with the Lacustris clothing line and the search for new sponsors. In addition, the introductions of Radboud University and HAN are important periods for the committee. Lacustris introductory activities, such as sports days, information markets, bowling and the barbecue, are organized by the PR committee. The committee also ensures general promotion. For ideas, questions or comments about promotion or the introduction, you can email the PR commissioner.

Technical committee
The Technical Committee, or TC, organizes all skating-related activities. For example, the Intensive Day, where you are filmed while skating after which you can improve your technique through video analysis. The TC organizes the IUT, inter-university tournament, of Lacustris at the end of the skating season. Also called the Lacustris final races. Skaters of all levels can participate in an IUT. The Technical Committee also thinks about the division of the skating groups and the organization of the summer training.

Travel committee
Every year Lacustris travels to an ice rink abroad around the Christmas holidays. The travel committee organizes this trip. Recent locations include Collalbo (Italy), Zakopane (Poland), Inzell (Germany) and Erfurt (Germany). In addition to many skating training sessions, a competition is also on the program this week. But the laughing muscles are also well trained, that’s for sure. This training week is not just for fast riders. Training takes place in groups of different levels and there is always a large number of participants from the talent groups (A and B), so this week is really accessible to everyone. In addition, there are plenty of opportunities to beat fast skaters. Think of the pub quiz, the murder game, sledding, skiing, games or, last but not least, partying in the evening.

Lacustris also has two monitoring committees:
Advisory committee
The advisory committee provides the board with solicited and unsolicited advice. Members of the committee often have an administrative background and can therefore assist the board with certain matters. They do this based on reading records of the board meetings . Depending on the situation within the board, contact is more intensive.

Cash Audit Committee
Our money hero obviously needs to be checked a few times a year. The cash control committee (also known as Kasco) checks whether the treasurer has everything in order. The members of this committee have a background as treasurers, and can therefore also advise the treasurer on financial questions.
